Can I change my mind on a dog purchase? Entry for January 24, 2008

Question

Hi Sandy,

I wanted to tell you how the dogs are doing.  Rowdy is so funny!  He loves to play with my kids.  Gil (that's the other boy's name) is a real sweetheart.  The girls are just not adjusting at all.  I feel bad for them because they're still scared and don't seem to be happy at all.  Is there a chance you could meet us again to take them back?  I'm sorry if this is an inconvenience.  I just want them to be happy and it doesn't seem that we're a good fit.

Thank you,

Mandy Moore

Answer:

Mandy,

We would be happy to take the girls back and find them a home for them if they do not fit the personality needs in your home.

We could not however refund and money that was paid for the girls.

We run our kennel as a business and make our only living hand raising these babies.

We do have reasons we will give a refund. We have a 6mo health guarantee unless otherwise stated( a preexisting condition the buyer was informed on). If a buyer has had a chance to look over a puppy or see several pictures of the puppies and the puppy was not misrepresented. Then the sale of the puppy is final.

The reason for the final sale is that any number of people can feel buyers remorse.

They may have not have thought a puppy purchase through. It may be harder than they thought to raise a puppy.

They may have a job change, need to move or decide to go back to school. We can not run our business to comply with changes after a purchase or buyers remorse because a puppy is a live being.

While in our care they are give attention, grooming, shots, de wormings, potty training and proper handling, after they leave our care we have no way of knowing how the animal has been cared for. We would not be insured that the puppy had not been dropped or mishandled, bred( in adult dogs)or any number of other situations. For this reason all puppy sales are final unless three is a health reason.

When you Looked over the girls in Dallas this was your chance to decide if you wanted to to purchase.

These were extra tiny babies 2.5 and 3lb adult weight girls and you were given a significant discount for your purchase of 4 puppies.

I believe you could resell these girls  for a profit if  they just didn't fit into your home needs.

If you do not want to resell them we would be happy to take them back and find them loving homes.

Thank You ,

Laura

More Info on our new litters. Atoka had four boys. They should be between 6 and 7 lbs. She was matched with JJ. He has Champ blood lines and a shorter nose so they should be cute boys. They are a little cheaper in price because they will not be the tinier ones.  We have a litter of Morkies. They are Maltese and Yorkie. Darby was matched with Gabe. These will look like little black Yorkies. This is a very popular mix in the big cities. They are cute. We have three black females with a white blaze on the chest. Also brindle female and a brindle male with a little more white on his head. I love the look of Fatima she is about 5 lbs. She usually has snow white babies with huge eyes and thick coats. This is her first litter with Micha. I look for them to be small with the shorter noses. Classie has small petite babies they have the long flowing hair and are tiny and very small framed (a dainty puppy). Her puppies with Gabe have had narrow noses( angel faces, a cute look too). This is her first litter with Micha. We are thinking Micha will shorten up the noses and give her babies a flatter face. Trinity has had her first litter. She is a tiny girl 4.5 lbs and has been matched with Micha as well so I look for tiny short legged babies with Trinity's big eyes. My Becca is due in May. She was matched with JJ (champ blood lines). I know she will have some babies with great personalities as well as being cute. Becca is so smart, she never barks and make human sounds when you love on her so if I don't keep all of her babies they will be good ones to get. Size should be 5.5 to 6.5 lbs. Darling is a tiny female (mom of 4.5 lb Trinity) and Winston is a cutie ( I don't mind saying he is spoiled) These should be beautiful fluffy angle babies.  Akota is a little larger female with snow white hair. She was matched with Winston so they should have about 6 to 7 lb babies. Prices will be a little cheaper on her babies because the are not the tiny ones either.

Our Yorkie Sassy is due in May(we hope)  She is a tiny female so the babies should be tiny too.

Starlet and Gabe have had beautiful babies. You can see them on the past puppies page. The size was between 4.5 and 6 lbs. These will be shorter legged, baby doll babies.

Becca had a bad day Entry for April 18, 2007

Becca had a bad day

Becca my little girl Maltese is pregnant and she hates it. She lies around and mopes about it and makes moaning sounds when you rub her belly (it’s like she is saying yeah could you do my feet next).  Well yesterday she was moping around in the computer room. I was doing emails and my daughter had taken our Cockatiel (Her name is Apple) out to sit on the top of her cage. Apple was wolf whistling and no one was paying attention so for some reason she got a wild hair, flew down landed on Becca.

Becca went crazy running all over the house and Apple stayed on for more than 8 seconds!! It was crazy! My husband was yelling,” get the bird “but Becca was running around non stop. The kids (I have four) were all scrambling after her and I was laughing so hard I could not move to get the camera.…oh well maybe next time and I will win Americas funniest video’s

Entry for April 11, 2007 My laugh with Carolyn
photo

My apologies to Carolyn Thoms, I have done some silly things but this was one of the silliest. I was typing out Carolyn’s flight info. I had given her Continental Airlines phone number (so I thought) so that she could call and confirm the flight. I had actually transposed the number and given her a 1-800 number, yeah, one of those x rated kind! They had answered as hot sluts or something like that. Needless to say Carolyn was shocked.

We had a good laugh as I gave her the correct phone number. You have to call it she said it was awful. If you know me you know I had to check it out! Did my face turn red!!

I had heard of these things but never heard what they said.

I can’t say I won’t make any more typo’s but

I promise to truly try to get the phone number right form now on!!!

P.S. Remind me not to persecute my husband for the 1-800 call on my phone bill!!

I want to show you all a picture of Tiny Timmy. He was Ariel and Gab’s boy born this year. He was born so tiny and could not seem to latch on to mama so the Ladies ( Sandi and Pat) took turns feeding him around the clock every 1.5 hrs.  They fed him with an eye dropper. He kept getting some into his lungs so we decided to mix a little with baby cereal. He was doing better and gaining weight then he got a repertory infection (we learned from his 3 trip to the vet). John, Pats son, brought in a breathing machine and the ladies gave Tiny Timmy breathing treatments. All this time the vet wanted the ladies to just put the baby to sleep. They said no and kept on. A lady in CAL (Nancy) had her deposit on him and was waiting daily to hear his condition. It ended up that Tiny Timmy went to heaven. After all the heating pads, nights up, breathing treatments and trips to the vet, the ladies were doing a puppy funeral. I was disappointed to say the least and the ladies heart broken. Tiny Timmy lived two weeks. I was talking to Sandi on the phone after that and she said” you know that vet wanted me to put him down and I just wouldn’t hear of it.” “I know.” I said.

“It was hard but I would do it all over again.” Sandi said.

“Yeah,I know.” I said”

A few weeks ago Tianna had a tiny one that had to be hand fed. They took turns feeding him and now he is strong enough to eat on his own. He is fat and doing well. Ann has a deposit on him she has named him Rocky!!
