Crate Training
The puppies are trained to a crate. You can purchase a small one for $34.00 at Wal -Mart. It is the one with the removable tray. The pups can see through this and you can see your baby. I suggest you get a pack of puppy pads, a small pet bed that will fit inside the crate, some small pet toys and some food and water dishes. Place the puppy pads down inside the kennel then set your pet beds in and then your dishes. Your puppy will feel safe in this environment. It’s like your puppy having his own room! You can enjoy your puppy. Hold him, love him, play with him. When you need a break or have to run to the store, you can put your puppy in his room (crate). The puppy will eat and sleep in his room. Feed him at a certain time as you are potty training him. This will get your puppy on a schedule. Take him out about 15 to 20 minutes after he eats and praise him highly when he goes potty. Soon he will be able to hold his movements, not wanting to go potty where he eats and sleeps, and you will have him potty trained. Any accidents will be kept in one area and not all over your house! I suggest you keep your puppy trained to their kennels will be pleasant for you both. Please don’t keep your puppy in the kennel all daylong for days. This is just like laying a baby down for a nap or play time. The puppy can take naps in the kennel. If you change their pads every day and spray down the area with an all natural cleaner, then your puppy will be clean and there will be no smell. . In the above environment your puppy should get use to the kennel and not wine after the first few nights. It will feel like home. Also remember to groom, hold, play with and love them often as this will also help them feel at home.
