Easter Egg Dress.  Will send

Laura,

We are still having a lot of fun with BabyDoll.  She is our
baby and makes every day worthwhile.  We are now in a
training class and she has a mind of her own.  My goal is to
make a therapy dog out of her.  My Vet says if we would just
treat her like a dog,  she would not be so spoiled and I told
him that I couldn’t do that.  She is spoiled but we love doing
for her because she is so special.  I don’t know if I’ve told you
or not but she goes to church with us on Sunday, goes to
funerals, weddings, wakes, schools, hospitals, restaurants
and is loved and spoiled everywhere we go.  We are hoping
that she will one day settle down and be a therapy dog.  I am
planning to start a Therapy Reading Program with the schools
in our county in the fall so I hope she will be ready by then.
My husband says she needs someone to play with and I say
she can play with us.  She is expensive but that is ok
because we knew she was high maintenance, but then so am
I.

Love, Peggy Carter
We can tell she loves us as we do her and she feels like she
has been
here a long time.  Friends have known how long I have been
looking for her
and we have had visits and calls every since we got home.
Some friends even
want to do a "puppy shower".  I said no, we have enough
because we have her.
Thank you again for helping us purchase her.

Babydoll is now 8 1/2 months and 4 l/2 pounds.  She
has started obedience
school with a goal of a Therapy Dog.  She has visited
the nursing home,
hospital and grammar school.  She is so much fun and
we are still enjoying
every day with her.  She loves to travel and is a true lap
dog.  She gives
good kisses and loves.

After a trip to the Vet, we went to
our place at the lake and she loved
it!!!  So did I!!!
This is a picture of BabyDoll on her first birthday, June
8, 2007.

I am proud to announce that she passed her tests
today and is now a “Real” Therapy Dog.  I plan to do
our visiting in the nursing homes in Clinton, the
hospital and have been approved to start a reading
program at Union Elementary School in September.
This is a volunteer program recognized and
sponsored by Therapy Dogs International, Inc.
Schools and Libraries are quickly discovering the
value of Therapy Dogs.  Some children have a little
trouble learning how to real and here is where
volunteer handlers can be of help with their Therapy
Dogs.  Children are introduced to the wonderful,
magical world of books in a positive and unique way.
The idea is that in no time the reading skill of most
children will improve without stress.  Children’s
confidence and reading skills grow in a relaxing
environment because Therapy Dogs give children the
encouragement they need to real aloud.  I am very
excited about this program and look forward to the
challenges of helping a child.

On our way to the Vet's for that first checkup.  She is fine.
Weighed in at
2 lbs.She will get her next shot on the 25th.
Babydoll is very comfortable in her
new crate at home

At the end of the day, she was very tired.  So was I,
but we had a wonderful day.

Hi Laura,

Sorry that I have written in such a long
time.  My husband and I purchased a
Motor Home in June and we have taken
to the road with BabyDoll.  She is
still such a joy, the whole 4 pounds 6
ounce ball of fur.  As you can tell,
she thinks under the Christmas Tree is
the best place to chew a bone.  I'll
send more pictures later.  I just couldn't
resist this one today...... right
after I finished decorating the tree, there
she was with her bone waiting to
lie down on the padded tree skirt.
